Gluten-Free Outdoor Dining in Boston (2020)

Sep 15, 2020

Mayor Walsh just extended Boston's outdoor dining until December - so you have plenty of time to check out these gluten-free restaurants for outdoor dining!

What a weird summer it's been, huh?! Everyone's comfort level is in a different place, and that's okay! You may want to stick with some outdoor dinners at home (make sure to make this to go along with your meal...). Others are comfortable eating at restaurants - often preferring to stay outdoors. Just because it's a city doesn't mean outdoor dining is off limits!

I've been spending a lot of time (and money, whoops) this summer catching up with friends and family outdoor dining, and I'm excited to share my favorites with you!

Gluten-Free Outdoor Dining in Boston

Benevento's

Located in the North End, you will be thoroughly impressed by Benevento's. Their entire menu - and believe me, it's extensive - can be made gluten-free. The best part? Gluten-free garlic bread. I had never had it before at a restaurant, and it was such a nice treat!

The staff is educated, and the food is delicious! It's a must-visit in the North End.

Yard House

I'm sure we all know about Yard House, but did you know they have outdoor dining? Enjoy an outdoor meal in the heart of Fenway. Yard House has a limited gluten-free menu, and no dedicated fryer, but the food is good and the staff is educated. A manager will come talk to you to confirm their procedures.

Cask N Flagon

You may have visited the Cask N Flagon in Boston or at one of their other locations, but you may not think of it for outdoor dining or gluten-free food. There is no crowd at the Red Sox games this season, so the wait times are generally pretty low (and you can even hear the fake cheers).

Cask N Flagon has a decently extensive gluten-free menu, and the staff is pretty educated. Great drinks, too!

Cafe Landwer

Cafe Landwer has two locations - 900 Beacon St and 383 Chestnut Hill Ave.

Their outdoor dining is quaint, almost like a European city. The drinks are good (I had an Aperol Spritz), and the food is even better. They have gluten-free pasta, and it's great!

Have you tried any of these places? Where have you been for outdoor dining?
